INTERPLASTICA 2005 in Moscow: The gateway to the Russian growth market

30/10/2005

Plastics and rubber trade fair is fully booked

All the experts are predicting that the evolution of the Russian plastics market holds many more years of exciting prospects. Russian consumption continues to lag far behind that of western Europe and cutting-edge polymers are increasingly being put to work in applications where other materials were previously used.

The domestic industry has new and expanded production capacities in the pipeline – a great opportunity for international plant and machinery builders. Russian businesses are keen to invest in state-of-the-art machinery and growing numbers of them also have the financial means to do so.

There could hardly be a more ideal climate for the staging of the ninth INTERPLASTICA at the fairgrounds in Krasnaya Presnya, Moscow from 13 to 16 December 2005. With some 450 exhibiting companies showcased over a net exhibition area of roughly 10,000 square metres, the International Trade Fair Plastics and Rubber has been booked to capacity and will be bigger than ever before. Focal product groups include machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industry, raw materials and auxiliaries, plastic and rubber products in addition to logistics, materials handling and other services. INTERPLASTICA targets international visitors from the plastics processing and chemicals industries, company representatives from the packaging, construction and automotive industries, food manufacturers, the printing industry as well as specialists from research institutes.

INTERPLASTICA exhibitors will hail from 22 countries. Among them will be officially backed national presentations from Austria, Germany and Italy. Topping the exhibitor contingents log is Germany with 120 companies, followed by Russia with 110 (compared to 70 at the previous event!) and Italy with 90 suppliers. What’s more, a joint Taiwanese presentation and notable numbers of Chinese and Korean exhibitors will also take the stage.

On 14 and 15 December, the exhibitors’ offerings will be rounded out by the plastics recycling conference, “RePlast – 2005”, coordinated by Russian trade magazine, “PLASTIKS: plastics processing industry” in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf.

In order to tap the technical and thematic synergies between the two fairs, INTERPLASTICA will once again be staged in tandem with UPAKOVKA / UPAK ITALIA, the International Trade Fair Machinery and Equipment for the Manufacture of Packaging, Packaging Machinery, Confectionery Machinery, Packaging and Packaging Aids, Logistics. Both events are organised by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH in collaboration with its Russian subsidiary OOO Messe Düsseldorf Moscow.
